Hannah Horn:
Balance Of Nature

We are delighted to present to you Hannah Horn’s exquisite illustrations, which are intricately detailed and seem to be precisely observed.

That is, until you notice the surreal and fantastical elements that she has subtly blended into these scenes from the natural world!

We asked the artist…

How would you describe your work?
Detailed pen and ink drawings over vibrant paint, specialising in the natural world.

What inspires you?
I draw a lot of inspiration from the natural world and often include surreal and fantastical elements.

What materials do you generally use?
I utilise a combination of vibrant paint (either acrylic or watercolour) and detailed ink line-work usually using a very fine-nibbed isograph pen.

What’s been your favourite project to work on so far?
That’s a hard one to answer as I have been really fortunate to work on many fun and exciting projects. I would have to say my favourite was illustrating Katherine Rundell’s book ‘The Explorer’. It was my first publication and was an amazing project to be a part of.

What are you currently working on?
Lots of exciting things coming up both private and commercial. Also starting to think about this years Christmas bauble design.

Where can we find more of your work?
My website: hannahhorn.com and @hannah_horn_ on Instagram.
